This January I moved into the wonderful Domes. A summary of what they are and how they were saved can be found in this awesome comic by Alfred Twu: http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~atwu/firstcultural/domes1.html
It’s been less than a month but I already feel really different. It’s incredible to able to walk out into fields to watch the sunset, pick produce and use it in meals, and be a part of a group that’s really reviving the place. We’re working on adopting rabbits, reviving the chicken coop, bringing bees back. This month I’ve.. eaten a freshly slaughtered chicken, rejoiced in dumpster dived treasures, relaxed in naked massage parties, and cuddled with friends while some played guitar, ukelele, flute, & tambourine.

“This being human is a guest house. Every morning is a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all. Treat each guest honorably. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”- Rumi View Larger

“And suddenly I found myself thrust into the throbbing core of delight, awash in murmuring, quizzical amazement. The center of my gravity exploded like a supernova, instantaneously spreading my awareness out to the size of the universe, turning me into a furious sun-blasted ocean-soaked wind-cured radiance, arriving everywhere at once from the heart of the Only Intelligence There Is. And I was home again, worshiping inside the tabernacle in the wilderness. ‘Oh, yeah,’ I thought to myself with a rush of eternal glee, ‘Now I remember: I am you and you are me and they are we and we are they”

Christened the Buccaneer, this is our take on a “steampunk keyboard” design - essentially a mechanical computer keyboard that has been modified to resemble an old world aesthetic.
The keyboard is comprised of a solid walnut frame (the wood recovered from a damaged antique dressing table) with brass plated sides and an engraved “Rampkins” nameplate at the front.
